It is the intention of the Jasper City School System that all technology resources will be used in accordance with any and all school/system policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal laws and/or guidelines governing the usage of technology and its component parts. Additionally, it is implied that all students and employees of the Jasper City School System will use the provided technology resources so as not to waste them, abuse them, interfere with or cause harm to other individuals, institutions, or companies.

Policies

Keeping students both safe and focused on curriculum is a system priority. In order to protect and serve students, the system has adopted several policies and guidelines. These include a Technology Acceptable Use Policy which addresses a wide variety of issues related to the use of school technology;  an Internet Safety Policy that explains what the system does to protect children and to comply with the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA); a Parent Permission Form that informs parents about their child's rights and responsibilities and gives them the right to deny their child independent access to the internet while at school.
