A program that began football in the fall of 1920 has hired the 35th Head Football Coach in school history. Names like Joe Gambrell, Larry Blakeney, David Campbell, Chris Yeager, Bubba Davis, John Holladay, and most recently, Heath Brunner will have a new name to add to their fraternity- Coach Bryan Moore.
Coach Moore’s previous three season were spent as the Head Football Coach at Eufaula High School, where he took over a 5-6 program before the 2015 season. In his three years at the helm of the Tiger program, he went 26-10, going 9-3, 8-3, and 9-4, advancing to the second round of the state playoffs twice (hosting playoff games in two of those years) most recently losing in the 2nd round at Vigor 19-13.
Prior to his stint at Eufaula, Coach Moore was the Offensive Coordinator for Coach Brian Blackmon for five years at Opelika High School. His offenses there consistently put up astonishing numbers highlighted by a 2012 AHSAA State Championship Game appearance against Hoover.
Coach Moore brings to Jasper a great love for his players, extreme competitiveness, a calling to positively impact his community, and a great passion for detail. We are so excited to have him, his wife Lindsey, and their three boys join us. We will feature more in the coming days on Coach Moore and his family.
