Winners Announced for Creative Writing Contest Sponsored by Dr. Wesley Dr. David Wesley recently sponsored a creative writing contest built around the theme of leadership. Congratulations to prize winners Morgan Manasco (1st Place), Thomas Ward (2nd Place), and Amya Allen (3rd Place).
Local Attorneys/Judges Stage Mock Trial at Maddox Maddox 7th grade history/civics classes were selected for jury duty on March 18. Pre-Algebra Team Takes 3rd at Hayden Math Tourney Individual students who placed are 6th grade- Sam Martin (10th), 7th grade- CR Wallace (8th), 8th grade- Christen Lawrence (2nd), Kjerstin Hubbert (10th). The 8th grade team placed 3rd overall in Pre-Algebra! Congratulations! read more >>
Science Classes Create Spaghetti Bridges and Water Rockets Mrs. Todd's 8th grade science classes used 2 liter bottles to create rockets propelled by water! They also made spaghetti bridges that could hold up to 80 lbs!!! Check it out! read more >>
Borders 8th Grade English Class Stages Wax Museum Beth Borders's 8th grade Adv. English class took part in a unique project recently. After reading biographies, students dressed up and became wax figures of those people. Visitors tapped the wax figures to hear their story. Click for pictures! read more >>
Black Rock Bistro's Greg Kilgore Gives MMS Cooking Tips Jasper's own culinary genius, Greg Kilgore of Black Rock Bistro, stopped by to give a cooking lesson to 6th grade home economics students this morning.
