Students participated in music, art and other activities to celebrate Black History Month. T.R. Simmons celebrated with music and enjoyed special words and songs by  Mrs. Evie Moore and Mr. Antwon Satterfield.

Each school recognizes and celebrates the diversity of  students in different ways. Memorial Park School recently hosted its second annual Diversity Day. Students from 2nd – 5th grade performed a variety of music for the school. Mrs. Kaatje Harrison, a teacher at the school was the guest speaker.  Throughout the program, Mrs. Harrison taught students many words from a variety of languages and spoke to our students about the importance of recognizing each one’s differences.
